According to CR-Chengdu, on June 21 at approximately 8:00 AM, with the departure of the No.57701 inspection train from Chongqingxi Railway Station, the Chongqing-Yibin (Chongqingxi to Yibindong) section of the Chongqing-Kunming High Speed Railway commenced its integrated testing and commissioning phase. This marks a crucial step in the project's acceptance phase, laying a solid foundation for the full line's early opening.
The railway is a vital component of the Beijing-Kunming corridor, one of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail networks. Once fully operational, it will enhance the national integrated three-dimensional transportation network, strengthen the connection between the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and central Yunnan, significantly reduce rail travel time between Chongqing and Kunming, improve travel conditions for residents along the route, and promote high-quality economic and social development.
